An excellent book of portraits by Rineke Dijkstra, which coincided with her solo exhibition at ICA Boston in 2001, featuring her iconic Bathers series capturing awkward teenagers on beaches across South Carolina, Poland, Coney Island, Belgium, and Ukraine. Also included are portraits from New Mothers in Amsterdam and ongoing documentation of Almerisa, a girl who relocated to Amsterdam from Bosnia in 1994 at age six. The book showcases video stills from The Buzzclub, Liverpool, UK & Mysteryworld, Zaandam, NL, taken between 1996 and 1997.
