Snap portraits of the members of photographer Toshio Yamada's family (1941-2011) in their Tochigi home during the 1970s and 80s: raw, uncompromising images capturing three generations living under the same roof, revealing everyday scenes and private moments. Opposite the pictures is a short story ("Yokubo") that was previously self-published. Yamada, a student of Shomei Tomatsu, was among the first graduates of his renowned Workshop Photography School.
