German-language edition of the major retrospective of Bellmer's photographic work, originally published in French as Photographe by Filipacchi/Centre Georges Pompidou in 1983. The exhibition was held at the Musée National d'Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, from December 1983 to February 1984. Reproduces over 170 photographs spanning Bellmer's career, from the construction and staging of his first and second articulated dolls (La Poupée) in the 1930s through to later collaborative work with his companion Unica Zürn.
