Sketches collects Viviane Sassen’s Polaroids made in Africa between 2002 and 2010. Produced as test images while working on Flamboya, the photographs were later edited into this concise volume.

Designed by Sybren Kuiper with embossed cardboard covers and stitched binding, the book presents the Polaroids in a straightforward sequence that highlights their immediacy and process.
